DES is ramping up its expertise by adding two new industry professionals to its sales team for the high performance Seiko ColorPainter.
Paul Higgins becomes the new Business Development Manager for DES South Australia and Steve Collyer has been appointed Business Development Manager for DES New South Wales.
“Both have extensive knowledge in our key markets of Sign & Display and Graphics Arts and a long history of providing exemplary customer service within those markets. The Seiko ColorPainter M64s printers have been very well received so it was important for DES to recruit technically oriented, customer focused staff to maintain and grow the support our customers expect,” said DES Sales & Marketing Director Russell Cavenagh.
“It’s a great opportunity to jump aboard a company that’s definitely moving in the right direction,” said Higgins, who has broad experience in the Sign & Display market.
“DES is a wonderful bunch of people and they have a great range of technology so I’m really looking forward to the opportunity,” said Collyer, whose resume includes considerable experience in Offset & Wide Format printing.
DES has strategic partnerships with some of the world’s most innovative manufacturers of products specialising in digital imaging. The company is a recognised market leader for proofing and printing solutions in the design, pre-press, packaging, display, packaging graphics and photographic markets.
Meanwhile, Spandex has bolstered its WA sign and display business with two new appointments for its growing branch based in Malaga, Perth. Russell Denby-Horwell joins as Area Sales Manager and Pete Southam takes over the role of Warehouse Manager.
“When the opportunity to join Spandex came up, there was no doubt in my mind that it was the company and role for me,” said Denby-Horwell.
Former Australian Army ‘Quartermaster’ Pete Southam brings military precision to the post of Warehouse Manager with Spandex WA. Southam has also managed warehouses in the pharmaceutical, mining, freight and mail order sectors.
“My 14 years in stores and logistics with the Australian Army taught me all about supply chain management and urgency,” said Southam.
Spandex Managing Director Alex McClelland welcomed the new staff, saying: “Our WA branch is growing handsomely following our move into bigger premises in Malaga last year.”
