An independent panel of experts has now completed judging in the 33rdannual National Print Awards after hundreds of entries from around Australia were evaluated over the past month.
“Every year, we think that the standard achieved can get no higher, and each year we are surprised again by how printers here in Australia continue to push the boundaries of quality and innovation to achieve results which would most certainly rate amongst the best in the world,” said Luke Wooldridge, chair of judges.
“This year’s entries demonstrate everything from skillful and pragmatic responses to client requirements for effective and economical print collateral, to some of the most brilliant creative campaigns where print is used as a vital component to connect with the consumer and drive action. It’s really fascinating to view the spread of work across the various categories and to see that print in Australia remains at the forefront of international standards.”
The coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be presented in May at the presentation dinner at the Plaza Ballroom of Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.
The night will also see the announcement of the Media Super Printing Industry Legend, the Media Super Young Executive of the Year and the Fuji Xerox Effectiveness Award - which acknowledges the important contribution of print to the effectiveness of campaigns.
The Judges’ Award for Excellence is awarded each year to the Gold medal-winning entry the panel believes represents the most outstanding example of print submitted in the year’s Awards.
“This year, it was harder than ever to determine the ‘best of the best’,” said Wooldridge. The judges were so impressed that they have created a special ‘Runners Up’ award for the entry that was just pipped at the post.
The 33rd annual National Print Awards Presentation Dinner will be held on Friday 20 May, 2016, at the Plaza Ballroom at the Regent Theatre on Collins Street in Melbourne.
“The Media Super National Print Awards really has become the industry’s ‘night of nights’ and this year will be no exception, with a night of fine dining and entertainment planned to celebrate the achievements of our industry,” said NPA Chair Susan Heaney.
