DRUPA TECHNOLOGY VIDEO: MIRACLON

This was the first drupa for Miraclon, which says it is developing modern flexo systems for packaging printers, and had nine new Flexcel NX technologies on its stand.

The company is launching a new Flexcel NX plate, and a new NX Ultra plate, and the Flexcel NX Ultra 42 Processor water washable plate technology. The new Flexcel NX Ultra 42 Processor is a high-volume, low maintenance plate production environment. Miraclon says its water washable plates offer the same benefits as its solvent processed plates, and are part of the transition to modern flexo.

The company is also launching Shine LED Lamp Kits, which it says are a "simple and cost-effective" path to UV LED plate exposure, that makes an even more consistent flexo plate.

On the Miraclon stand, Emma Westin outlines the new developments to Print21 editor Wayne Robinson, and says why they are important for flexo printing.
