AFI MOVES INTO NEW IVE SUPERSITE
AFI Branding has moved into the new IVE retail display 50,000sqm green supersite in Braeside, Victoria, which houses the company’s extensive display print operation.
The new site is something of a sustainability hero. The building has a 5-Star Green rating certified by the Green Building Council of Australia. With 1200 solar panels, the building will generate more than 650,000kWh per year – which is the equivalent of powering 120 households a year, or of growing 19,500 tree seedlings for 10 years.
The new building can also collect and reuse 100,000 litres of rainwater a year. It will now also become home to AFI’s industry-first fabric takeback scheme 'be sustainable'.
IVE bought AFI Branding, which was 50 per cent owned by Active Display Group, which it also bought, back in October 2021 for $6.5m.
Glenn Watson, managing director of AFI said, “A big milestone today as we begin to work out of our new home at 30 Beyer Road, Braeside.
“Very excited to bring AFI's capabilities and join them with IVE's to create an unparalleled offering for our clients all under the one roof. From this site, we now have AFI's staples of wide format fabric printing and aluminium fabrication, and join this with IVE's wide format digital inclusive of cabinet making and hardware facility, offset and digital print, and a complete merchandise offering across the road, which together are all housed in the one street ensuring greater efficiencies and creativity for our growing list of amazing clients who make all of this possible.
“Looking forward to pushing the boundaries of what's possible today to create new and innovative brand activations in the future with our incredibly talented team.”
