Asga Fespa HP Awards postponed again
Following the postponement of PacPrint 2021 to next June, the Asga & Fespa Australia HP Awards for Excellence Presentation, due to take place on the opening night of the expo in Melbourne, will be rescheduled.
The new date has not yet been decided. It is the second time the Awards have been postponed, as they were originally scheduled to take place during the National Conference in February, which had to be canned due to Covid.
Julie Rochester, Asga president said: “It is unfortunate we are in the position again of being at the mercy of Covid-19 developments. Acknowledging the Award winners and supporting sponsors is of paramount importance. We are working with our key stakeholders to find a solution.”
Fespa Australia president, Nigel Davies, added: “While it is disappointing, it is not unexpected in these times. Our winners deserve recognition for their excellence, along with our sponsors for their continued support, and I am confident that we will find a way to suitably celebrate their achievements.”
Meanwhile, Asga has re-elected its Board at its virtual AGM. The only change to last year is Mick Harrold from Visual Exposure in Victoria replacing Michael Blazek as vice-president. Julie Rochester from Sign Concepts in SA remains president.
ASGA’s 2021 AGM was held virtually this year, with no changes to the previous year’s board appointments announced other than Mick Harrold replacing Michael Blazek, in the position of vice-president. Blazek has been on the board for the past 18 years, including six as president.
