The ‘very strong’ Australian billboard business helped drive revenue at the world’s biggest outdoor media business JC Decaux up by 21 per cent in 2022.

Australian billboard revenue has rebounded strongly, in fact the strongest of all, and is already well ahead of the pre-pandemic 2019 figure, to the tune of double digit.

Global revenue for JC Decaux reached €3.3bn, adjusted organic revenue was up by 16.6 per cent, Q4 revenue topped €1bn. Organic growth excluding China – which was in its disastrous lockdown for much of 2022 – was up by 24 per cent.

Analogue (print) advertising revenue grew double digit organically in 2022, but digital revenue soared, up by 41 per cent in full-year 2022, of which 35.2 per cent was organic basis.
