Sponsored by Avery Dennison, Ball & Doggett, Cactus Imaging, Currie Group, Coritex and Durst, the drinks flowed as a delicious spread was served up.

Fespa Australia president Nigel Davies told the crowd that the second local Fespa conference would take place on 3 November, with Orafol as the platinum sponsor for both the conference and the Future Leadership programme, launched last year. He said, “Leadership development matters to the industry, we were so pleased with the first new leaders programme that we had no hesitation in running a second.”

Troy Cavanagh from ImageBox, who was elected leader of the first Future Leadership cohort, said, “It is a fantastic initiative, we have good ideas in place to take it forward, and have real momentum.”

Orafol managing director Alex McLelland said investing in the future of the industry was the motivation for his company becoming platinum sponsor. He said, “We need to ensure as an industry that we have the talent coming through to take us forward. The Fespa Future Leadership programme will be a key part of that.”

The Fespa networking evening location of the Abbotsbury Rowing Club is one of the most spectacular in Sydney, with the expansive waterfront setting providing an unrivalled backdrop.

The next main Fespa Australia event will be at the Fespa Global expo in Munich in May, with a gathering planned for 2pm on the Wednesday, the second day of the show, in the Fespa lounge.
