FESPA: ALLPRINT ORDERS SWISSQPRINT
Allprint Graphics has ordered the first swissQprint Kudu in Australia, the new six-colour plus white print set to arrive at the company’s Rydalmere facility in December.
Supplied by Pozitive, the new Kudu has been ordered to replace much of Allprint’s screen printing operation, although the company will keep some screen ability.
Grant Cunningham, managing director of Allprint, said, “We are familiar with swissQrint as we already have two of the machines. The new Kudu is fast, flexible and versatile, with extra ink channels. It will add an extra dimension to our business, especially as we transition away from screen printing.”
Allprint already runs a Nyala and an Impala, Cunningham said, “They have proved themselves as real workhorses, with a consistent quality. The new Kudu will operate at the same level, and with extra versatility.”
Some 30 Kudu printers have gone in around the world. Phil Trumble, CEO of Pozitive said, “The Kudu has the same DNA as all other swissQprints, but has an extra speed boost, with an extra row of printheads. Allprint is an excellent business, I’m confident it will reap the benefits of the new Kudu.”
While at Fespa, swissQprint sold the 1000th Nyala since the range was launched.
