HP TO LAUNCH PRINTOS PRODUCTION HUB

HP is launching PrintOS Production Hub, which it says means printshops now have access to one of the first large-format software solutions that combines order management and remote production control into a centralised, real-time platform.

Production Hub will provide print managers with an end-to-end platform to allow them to create orders, access order history and customer information history, and track orders across their workflow, sending them directly to print systems through the rip. HP says it will increase efficiency and reduce operational complexity. 

Set to be available in next month, Production Hub will initially work with just HP printers, but by springtime, it should be ready to work with competitor printers as well.

HP says the focused software will enable print businesses operating large format print systems to move away from manual operations management for wide-format print, whereas the new Production Hub will enable automation of everything from order taking to production flow.

Building on what it says is the success in Industrial Printing, HP is expanding its Sustainability Amplifier Programme to Large Format print businesses of all sizes. Designed to help printers assess their sustainability practices against industry standards, the programme offers self-assessment tools, personalised recommendations and what HP says are expert-developed best practices to improve their environmental impact.
