Held during Visual Impact at the exclusive River Room in the Southbank Beer Garden the event opened with new managing director Kohei Kobayashi setting out the company’s expansion plans, with a restructure of roles and the hiring of several new service engineers to add to the existing team.

The event itself, held in State of Origin night, and with large TV screens provided, was a new departure for Mimaki, signifying its determination to raise its profile.

National sales manager Jason Hay then thanked the distributors for promoting the brand across the country, and announced the award winners.

Highest sales overall were taken by Spicers, Top Growth winner was Velflex, Highest Hardware Sales went to Graphic Art Mart, with Spandex and Pozitive both winning sales awards. National Lead Generator of the year was Matthew Christie, while Peter Townsend won the National Hardware Salesperson of the Year award.

Following the presentations Mimaki provided food to go with the beer, as the crowd settled into rival banter as a captivating State of Origin kicked off.
