Mutoh launches XpertJet 1341SR Pro series printer
Mutoh Australia has released its new XpertJet 1341SR Pro series printer, based on its former long-running VJ-1324X model, which the company says prints up to twice as fast as its predecessor.
The company says the new, larger AccuFine print head, i-screen, and Mutoh’s new genuine rip software VerteLith all combine to deliver high printing speeds, accurate dot placement, smooth gradations, and an intuitive workflow.
According to Mutoh the XpertJet series delivers “excellent print quality and high productivity”, and also now comes with a 54”/1.3m wide eco-solvent printer model, which Mutoh says “perfectly balances cost and performance”.
Russell Cavenagh, managing diretcor of Mutoh ANZ said, "It’s a 54” EcoSolvent that is versatile, light and compact. It’s the solution for businesses where space is at a premium or access is difficult with stairs, tight corners and the like. It also comes complete with our new, and recently EDP awarded - VerteLith software."
The XpertJet 1341SR Pro comes in a compact body, and is paired with Mutoh’s new eco-solvent ink – VJ-MS31 – which the company said excels in colour reproduction, weather resistance, and ease of maintenance.
The ink has been certified UL Greenguard Gold, which makes it environmentally and operator-friendly.
The company says that the XpertJet 1341SR Pro works well in various applications including banners, trade show graphics, indoor and outdoor signs, POP displays, vehicle wraps.
Mutoh’s VerteLith software is built around the Harlequin host renderer, which the comany says ensures fast rip processing times for both PDF and PostScript files, as well as efficient handling of transparencies and spot colours.
It integrates halftone screening technology specifically developed for inkjet, called Clear Tone, which Mutih says will allow a user to "seamlessly produce the best possible gradients and skin tones."
To avoid waste, the software includes preview functionality, supporting soft proofing and on-screen rip previewing of the actual printed dots before printing.
VerteLith can also auto-generate white and/or varnish layers based on a selection of presets, allowing the user to perform the ink-cost calculation prior to printing. Output can also be prepared for the next step in the production process via the finishing toolset, allowing flexible tiling, crop marks and grommets.
The VerteLith rip recently won the European Digital Press (EDP) Association for workflow technology.
“We are proud to receive this prestigious and valuable technical award for our new VerteLith RIP software on behalf of our Japanese development team,” said Stephan Heintjens, Mutoh Europe’s product marketing and application manager.
“The EDP awards represent a strong point of reference for decision-makers in the digital print industry. For Mutoh it is a token of recognition and acknowledgement of our ongoing commitment to being high quality, added value and innovation in our products.
“Our VerteLith software enables Mutoh printer owners to get the best from their Mutoh printer, and allows them to manage the entire print environment better and more efficiently from one central backbone software.”
