SMARTECH TO DISTRIBUTE AGFA
Agfa has made Smartech Business Solutions its exclusive distributor for its growing portfolio of wide format print solutions in Australia, New Zealand, and the Oceania region, effective from today.
The partnership includes all Agfa’s wide-format print systems, including the Jeti, Anapurna and Oberon roll-to-roll, flatbed and hybrid wide format print systems, the Avinci dye sub printer, and the Inca high volume flatbeds it bought for €48m two years ago.
The new deal follows last year’s restructure at Agfa, which saw its offset plates, supplies and software arm sold to the Aurelius private equity group, and rebrand as ECO3, which operates in ANZ under Mark Brindley’s leadership
Smartech has a century of relative history in Australia, and is an established global industry leader in print technology, with a dominant presence across Asia Pacific, and sales and service offices in all capital cities in Australia. It was recognised by the Australian Business Council as an Employer of Choice in 2023.
