STARLEATION BRINGS IN HIGH TACK PVC-FREE VINYL FOR ALL WALLS
Wide format print solutions supplier Starleaton has launched Neschen Wall-Grip PP L-UV, a new PVC-free high-tack vinyl, which it says will adhere to virtually any type of wall.
The company says Neschen Wall-Grip PP L-UV is a green alternative for difficult surfaces and wall décor, and a premium product for environmentally conscious customers.
Neschen’s growing range of PVC-free media puts it in a leading position in the shift to sustainable alternatives for the digital media and interior design media markets.
With a water-based adhesive, Neschen Wall-Grip PP L-UV is also one of the few PVC-free, self-adhesive wall graphics products on the market. Starleaton says as a wall covering, it can be applied in indoor and outdoor areas, giving customers a wide range of possibilities from rough interior walls, smooth and dry concrete, chipboard, polypropylene or other difficult low-energy surfaces like PP-based panels, Starleaton says, “the high-tack adhesive provides excellent adhesion.”
Wall-Grip PP L-UV is available in two textures: smooth and sand. According to Starleaton the sand structure “authentically” resembles the look of real wallpaper, “giving customers the creative freedom of wall graphics, while maintaining the high-quality look of wallpaper.”
Wall-Grip is made up of a fast drying, tear-resistant interior decoration film which reduces the risk of splitting during the removal process. Starleaton says that even with its high tack adhesive, “this makes it perfect for quick change-out promotions.”
According to Starleaton the PP (polypropylene) film is ideal for wall décor coverings, exhibition stands and large format display applications. The company says its “brilliant print quality makes Wall-Grip PP is also an exceptional medium for eye-catching advertising and store designs.”
The media is designed for printing with latex (HP certified) and UV-curable inks.
Neschen’s Wall-Grip PP L-UV sand and smooth are in stock now and available with a width of 1550mm x 50m roll. Arriving soon will be the 1370mm and 1600mm widths.
Starleaton says that with wall décor, in many cases, installers are dealing with several types of surfaces within a single project. For example, with the design of numerous shops for a retail chain. In this case, the application surfaces of the various shop interiors can vary widely and it may not always be possible to choose one film to suit the walls of every location. Not all films are suited for materials like structured walls, concrete, chipboard, or painted walls.
For certainty regarding the adhesion of wall films, Starleaton recommends choosing a print film with a high-tack adhesive, such as Neschen’s solvoprint Performance Wall-Grip, solvoprint Power Tack 180 or now the new PVC-free version, Wall-Grip PP L-UV.
