TRUEVIS NOW RESIN, UV AND ECO-SOL
Roland DG is launching six new models in the best-selling TrueVis series of large-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, with resin, UV and entry level printers in the line-up. The new models means that TrueVis is now available in resin, UV and solvent options.
The new models include the AP-640 resin printer, the LG-640/540/300 high productivity UV printer/cutters, and the MG-640/300 multi-functionality UV printer/cutters at entry-level price. Together with the four Eco-Sol models previously launched last March, the TrueVis lineup expands to a total of 10 inkjet devices.
Tony Miller, president of Roland DG’s global sales and marketing division, said, “Consumer needs are changing dramatically against a backdrop of fast-paced technological innovation, changes in social structure, and the growing awareness of environmental issues. The roles required of sign and graphics professionals are also diversifying. As a result, printed graphics are increasingly required not only to transmit information, but to offer functionality and expressiveness that create positive impressions and experiences in a wider range of situations.
“In response to these trends,” Miller said, “we felt it was important to increase the number of options available to our customers so they can choose the best solution for their particular application requirements. We expanded the TrueVis lineup to include three ink types – UV, resin and Eco-Sol – each with different capabilities. Miller added, “No matter which printing technology they choose, our customers can count on the same industry-leading TrueVis quality of printing and reliability.”
According to Miller the newly developed resin model takes advantage of the media texture. The UV models enable high-definition output and special printing, including three-dimensional expressions for reproduction of artwork and for communicating by touch, including Braille. And the Eco-Sol models create graphics with vivid colours.
Miller said. “With the addition of resin and UV inkjet models, the TrueVis series of 10 printers opens up the future with vast possibilities of signs and graphics for our customers.”
